American Bank Robber Waits For Police To Come Arrest Him
I guess he felt his actions were really wrong, you can also say he didnt really need the money because I cant imagine a Nigerian robber waiting for police top come get him.
There was no grabbing cash and a breathless race for freedom.
There was no effort to run at all.
More than anything, it was a case of passive resignation with a touch of bad spelling.
Police in Everett on Monday arrested a man, 60, for investigation of first-degree robbery.
They were called to the Banner Bank at 8519 Evergreen Way after 4:30 p.m.
Behind the building, they found the suspect, waiting.
Workers at the bank said the man had gone into the bank a few minutes earlier and passed a note to a teller. The note said: “This is a robrey (sic).”
When the teller went to take money out of the till, the man allegedly said he wanted cash from the bottom of the drawer.
When she didn’t had over any $100 bills, the suspect reportedly told her “to never mind and said he would wait for police,” according to a police report.
He was true to his word.
Officers recovered the note and booked the man into the Snohomish County Jail.
“We don’t always deal with criminals who surrender when their gig is up,” Everett police officer Aaron Snell said. “In this case, the would-be bank robber sat at the bank and waited for officers to arrest him.”
