Kanye West Apologizes For Being Disrespectful to Taylor Swift & Announces Bid to Run For Presidency in 2020
Rapper Kanye West was honored during Sunday night's MTV Video Music Awards by receiving the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award, an accolade previously awarded to superstars like Beyoncé, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears, Madonna and The Beatles throughout the show's more than 20-year tenure.
He accepted the prestigious award but not without a 13minute acceptance speech that blew any previous Kanye moments way out of the water.
Prior to Yeezy taking the stage, Taylor Swift talked about the infamous 2009 VMAs Best Female Video debacle that pinned the two hit makers against each other for years to follow.
Taylor said any feud between the two was laid to rest long ago, admitting that Kanye's 2004 College Dropout was the first album she bought on iTunes.
"I'm really happy for you and Imma let you finish but Kanye has had one of the greatest careers of all time," Swift playfully joked as the honoree prepared to deliver his speech.
As the crowd chanted his name, West looked visibly overwhelmed before recanting his numerous regrets surrounding the career-polarizing move.
"If I had to do it all over again, what would I have done? Would I have worn a leather shirt? Would I have drank half a bottle of Hennessy and gave the rest of it to the audience...? If I had a daughter at that time would I have gone on stage and grabbed the mic from someone else's?" he asked.
West also acknowledged the backlash he has felt throughout his outspoken career: "The contradiction is, I do fight for artists, but in that fight I somehow was disrespectful to artists. I didn't know how to say the right thing, the perfect thing," adding, "Sometimes I feel like I died for the artists' opinion, for the artist to be able to have an opinion after they were successful."
And to top it all off, looks like the US might be looking "West" for the 2020 presidential election. Yes, that's right. Kanye announced he's running for president.

The bold declaration came at the end of an epic acceptance speech for a lifetime achievement award.

last night, at the closing ceremony of Pan America Games which took place in Toronto, Canada, Kanye's mic stopped working towards the end of his performance, leaving him frustrated and mad. After a few seconds of trying to get it to work and gesturing to the crowd, Kanye threw the mic and left the stage.

An insider tells OK! that Jay Z and Beyonce have ceased all contact with pal Kanye West and his bride Kim Kardashian, who had spent the last two years pushing to get closer to the stars.

Rapper, Kanye West, Booed On Stage After Another Lengthy Rant About Kim Kardashian
US rapper Kanye West continued his self entitlement on Friday night after he launched a 20-minute rant mid performance at the London Wireless Festival. Kanye paused his performance to talk to the crowd about discrimination in the fashion industry and his promise to marry Kim Kardashian seven years ago.
"People be looking at me like I got a problem or something. Like I’m uncontrollable, that I do what I’m not supposed to do.’ Turning his attention to the media, Kanye said ‘They control everyone with rumours & lies. They steal you from you & sell you back to you.’
To the crowd, Kanye asked: ‘How many people here think they’re awesome and have had people say they’re not their whole lives? What have I ever done other than believe in myself?’
They say they won’t negotiate with celebrities…like I’m a terrorist or stupid. I’m not going to name names, I’m not going to mention any names but... Nike, Louis Vuitton and Gucci. Don't discriminate against me 'cos I'm a black man making music.

I can’t work with anyone but Jay Z, because he’s No. 1
Kanye West speaks on Dr. Dre’s Apple Deal, redesigning Instagram, and spending four days shooting his wedding photos. Kanye West, who is scheduled to speak at the Cannes Lions Music Festival later this week, also participated in a panel discussion yesterday with Steve Stoute and Ben Horowitz. The discussion covered topics such as Dr. Dre’s deal with Apple, Kanye’s desire to redesign Instagram, his need to always work with ‘#1′, and the perfectionism that went into his wedding photo (the most ‘liked’ Instagram photo of all time).

On spending 4 days shooting his wedding photo:
This is pissing my girl off during the honeymoon. Annie Leibovitz pulled out right before the wedding— maybe she was scared about the idea of celebrity… But I still wanted my wedding photos to look like Annie Leibovitz. Now, can you imagine telling someone who just wants to Instagram a photo, the No. 1 person on Instagram, that we need to work on the color of the flowered wall? But the fact that the No. 1 most liked photo has this certain aesthetic on it was a win for what the mission is—of raising the palette.
On Apple’s acquisition of Beats By Dre:
There would have been no Beats deal without the Samsung deal. It showed the No. 1 company the importance of connecting with culture. The reason I said I didn’t like Samsung particularly is because throughout my entire life, because of how my parents raised me, I have to work with the No. 1. I can’t work with anyone but Jay Z, because he’s No. 1. I can’t be with any girl but Kim, because that’s the girl whose pictures I look at the most and get turned on by. I’m not going to represent any company but Louis Vuitton, because that’s No. 1… Samsung is not quite Apple, but it showed that Jimmy [Iovine] and Dre would be able to connect with the No. 1 influencers.
On the influence of Steve Jobs:
Steve Jobs, as everyone knows, was my biggest influence. Just seeing the way he fought to make things easier for people. After he passed, I made it my life’s mission to do what he did inside of that company,” West said. “I dream to help raise the palette and raise the taste level of a generation and also be involved with the production and distribution and advertising of that thing everyone’s begging for.
On wanting to redesign Instagram (and the rest of the internet):
The world as a whole is fucking ugly. The Internet as a whole is fucking ugly, too. But I’m not in the construction business… I said to Kevin [Systrom], why don’t you let us redo Instagram? Now, you know, Instagram is nice. It’s nice looking. I’m not knocking it. But just in general, everyone spends all of their time looking at their screens or their phones. And just as a simple task, we could clean that up.

Bitter Kanye West Continues Jay Z Diss
Kanye West seems to careless about loosing his best friend and mentor Jay Z, or he's probably lost him already as he has consistently lashed out at him ever since Jay Z didn't turn up for his wedding.
According to tweets from people who attended the Bonaroo Festival over the weekend where Kanye performed, the multiple award winning rapper stopped his set to deliver a ten minute rant about the importance of hard work, believing in yourself, and well, just being Kanye West. And then he took a shot at his former bff(Jay Z), reportedly telling his fans "Let's be clear, ain't no b*tch gonna pull that Solange ish on me."

Newly Wed Kim, Officially Changes Her Name
Days after marrying Hip Hop star Kanye West, Kim finally changed her name on social platforms, Twittter and instagram to Kim Kardashian West. She did so today May 28th.
Recall she refused to change her name to Humphries back in 2011, telling her husband then that the Kardashian name was already a brand and she couldn't drop it or add anything to it. Guess she knew that marriage wasn't going to last. I hope this one does.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West marry in Los Angeles
It seems all is going so well for Kanye West and Kim K as they just got married on paper over the weekend. The couple, who got engaged in October, allegedly tied the
knot in a private ceremony in Los Angeles this weekend after
securing their marriage license last week.
A source told Life & Style magazine: “Kim and Kanye are now
married on paper. They got their license in California over the
past few days.”
However, the secretive ceremony won’t be their only wedding
as it is set to be followed by a lavish extravaganza in Paris later this month in front of all their family, friends and celebrity acquaintances.
The loved-up duo – who have 10-month-old daughter North
together – are set to walk down the aisle on May 24 before
jetting off to a secret location on honeymoon.
Kim, 33, and Kanye, 36, were forced to legally wed in California before their romantic bash in Paris after it was revealed the French law requires a strict 40-day residency before they can get married in the country.
However, the pair are determined to make their Parisian
wedding an experience their 200 guests will never forget, so
have hired the Trianon Palace Hotel for them to stay in.
A source said previously: “Guests will be greeted with goodie
bags containing £300 bottles of Bollinger champagne, £120
Creme de la Mer products, handmade souvenir trinkets with
Kim and Kanye’s initials etched in Swarovski crystals, bottles of scent from local perfumeries and £150 vouchers for
treatments at the hotel spa.
