Pope urges doctors to stop performing abortion
Pope Francis has reportedly urged Catholic doctors to refuse to perform abortions while denouncing abortions as symptom of today's 'throwaway culture and encouraged Catholic doctors to refuse to perform them.
Francis issued a strong anti-abortion message and cited Vatican teaching on the need to defend the unborn during an audience with Catholic gynecologists.
"Dear friends, doctors, those of you who are called to deal with human life in its initial phase, remind everybody, with facts and words, that this is always, in all its phases and at every age, sacred and always quality life, and not for a reason of faith, but for a reason of science," he said.
