Has Tyrese Sabotaged Dr Dre's Multi-Billion Dollar Apples Deal?

No comments :

Earlier this month, news went viral that Apple Electronics was in talks to buy Dr Dre's headphone company Beats by Dre for $3.2billion, thereby making him the first billionaire rapper.

Then his friend, singer/actor Tyrese shot a video with Dre where he predicted that the rapper/music producer would become the first billionaire in Hip Hop. Well, weeks later industry insiders claim the deal may no longer be on the table because Apple execs were absolutely horrified by Dre and Tyrese's celebratory crypt walk

From Billboard Magazine.......
Apparently, the Apple family near imploded with outrage when that video went up on Facebook of an ‘excited’ Dr. Dre with R&B singer Tyrese. In the video they share how Dre will be hip-hop’s first billionaire and other nice things about Compton. People often forget that despite Apple being this company that makes sexy products, with sexy profit margins, and sexy retail outlets…it is not in fact a very sexy company. It's a conservative company, particularly without the leadership of its guiding light Steve Jobs who would shake things up massively on a daily basis. This is not the kind of thing Apple is used to. Do you think Tyrese meant Dre any harm?

Dr Dre set to be hip hop's first billionaire

No comments :
Super producer and rapper Dr Dre is set to become Hip Hop's first billionaire as Apple Inc. is close to sealing a multi-billion dollar deal to purchase Beats Electronics, the company he founded with music producer Jimmy Lovine in 2008. The company produces the popular Beats By Dre headphones and also runs a music streaming service, which Apple is more interested in than the headphones itself. If this happens, it will be Apple's biggest acquisition till date. ($3.2billion).
The deal is confirmed by one of the founders of the company Dr. Dre and actor Tyrese Gibson, who announced the news on actor’s Instagram page along side Diddy his very good friend. By far, this is Apple’s largest acquisition recently and the company is hoping it will help its iTunes service regain ground.
According to a report by Nielsen SoundScan album and individual track sales were down 13% and 11%, respectively, so there’s certainly room for improvement.
