Paedophile who changed his name to Michael Jackson jailed indefinitely for 'truly horrific' abduction and s*8xual assault of a ten-year-old
A paedophile who changed his name to Michael Jackson because his former wife was a huge fan of the popstar has been jailed indefinitely for abusing a ten-year-old.
Jackson, whose real name is Albert English, admitted the sexual assault, false imprisonment and kidnap of the child, who was held prisoner in a cupboard for three hours after being dragged into a flat in Oldbury, West Midlands.
Ordering Jackson, 50, to serve at least seven years before being eligible to apply for parole, Judge Martin Walsh described the kidnapping as 'the stuff of every parent’s nightmare'.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that Jackson gagged and trussed up the victim with duct tape and a rope, placed a craft knife near him, and warned him his father would be murdered.
The pervert was arrested last November after the boy was found at his ground-floor flat.
Local people and police launched a frantic search for the boy after he disappeared while walking in the street and it is thought he was held captive for more than three hours.
During a hearing on May 11, the offender, who has previous convictions for s*8xual assault, also pleaded guilty to abducting a 10-year-old girl in the West Midlands in September last year.
The boy’s hands were bound but he managed to move towards a window of the flat, where he was spotted by a local woman searching for him.
Giving brief details of the offences committed against the male victim, prosecutor Debi Gould said: 'The second of the children that was abducted - a young boy -was trussed up, was thrust into a cupboard, and was s**xually assaulted.'
