They sacrificed themselves to save the children
Authorities have identified first grade teacher Victoria Soto, 27, (left) principal Dawn Hochsprung (centre) and school psychologist Mary Sherlach (right) as three of the adult victims murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.
Adam Lanza (inset right), the son of a teacher, is said to have k***led 26 people at the school - including 20 young students - before taking his own life, having already murdered his mother at her home.
Including Lanza, 28 lives were lost in the k***ling spree.
