The lates person to send a farewell message to Vincent Enyeama after is shock retirement is Super Eagles player Kenneth Omeruo,the centre back defender could not help it but to send an emotional message on his Instagram page. He wrote; 
 "You are one person that have always watched my back..One persons that always keeps me in the perfect position.. It's sad to know I will no longer have u.. So I want to thank you for being a great captain.. I know first hand Nigerians Love you.. The team will miss you greatly.. Much love senior man.. @vinny2908"
