Rebels Again Shoot Down Two Ukrainian Military Planes
Barely a week after shooting down a passenger jet carrying 298 people, pro-Russian rebels today Wednesday July 23rd shot down two Ukrainian military fighter jets close to the Russian border just 35km away from the Malaysian crash site.
A spokesman for Ukraine’s military operations said the planes were downed near Savur Mogila, a burial mound in the Shaktersky region, but didn't have any information about the pilots flying the jets.

Shocking : Mother Stabs Teacher To Death In Front Of Her Students
A female teacher was stabbed to death in front of her pupils at a primary school in the southern French town of Albi by a student's mother, who was immediately arrested.
"This morning, a mother showed up with a knife and stabbed a 34-year-old teacher in front of her students, for reasons that will be determined by the investigation," Albi prosecutor Claude Derens told us.
"When I arrived at the scene they were trying to revive her. She was in cardiac arrest in her classroom," he said.
President Francois Hollande immediately sent Education Minister Benoit Hamon to the school to take charge of the government response.
"All state services will be mobilised to take care of these children and the staff who witnessed this awful tragedy," Hollande said in a statement.
The stabbing took place as morning classes began at Albi's Edouard Herriot primary school, which is attended by 284 students aged from three to 11.
No further details were immediately available and a press conference was planned for Friday afternoon.
A spokesman for Hamon said he was on his way to the school to show his support, saying the education minister "is deeply shocked by this crime, which plunges the end of the school year into mourning."
"This tragedy confirms there is a need to fight against violence in and around schools, to protect schools, teachers and students."
The incident comes amid concerns in France over assaults by parents on teachers, with a study released in April saying nearly half of primary school principals had been verbally or physically abused by parents. Source

UNBELIVABLE : Woman Discovered With 40-Year-Old Fetus
Wonders they say may never end, we go on from hearing one strange story to another every day.
This time, a 40-year-old fetus was discovered inside the abdomen of an 82-year-old woman.
The elderly woman from Colombian complained of pain and discomfort in her abdomen, but she never expected she was carrying a fetus.
Doctors estimate the fetus remained inside her abdomen for nearly 40 years.
Doctors at Tunjuelito Hospital originally diagnosed the woman with gastroenteritis, which can cause diarrhea and cramping. However, an ultrasound ruled out an infection.
They eventually ordered an X-ray of her abdomen. When they viewed the results, they were stunned — the elderly woman was carrying a calcified fetus.
Although calcified fetus’ are rare, they can happen. The fetus is called a lithopedion, also referred to as a stone baby. A lithopedion begins when a fertilized egg implants and begins to develop outside the uterus. When the egg implants inside the fallopian tube, it is called an ectopic pregnancy.
Rarely, a fertilized egg will travel into the abdominal cavity, where it can become implanted anywhere from the bowel to the aorta. Although the fetus cannot survive inside the abdomen, doctors usually terminate the pregnancy to prevent future problems.
As reported by NBC News, in most cases the tissue will simply break down inside a woman’s body. However, in the case of the 40-year-old fetus, it continued to grow to an advanced stage.
If the fetus continues to develop, it can become too large to absorb. As a natural reaction, the fetus and the surround tissue eventually calcify. The process prevents the decomposing tissue from spreading infection inside a woman’s body.
lithopedion rarely cause further issues, as they often go unnoticed. For some woman, the fetus is large enough to cause pain and swelling.
The Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine cites 280 recorded cases of lithopedion since 1582. While most “stone pregnancies” last around 22 years, at least one woman carried a calcified fetus for more than 60 years.
The Colombian woman was transferred to another hospital to have her 40-year-old fetus removed.

Strange Scenes : Rivers Turn Blood-Red In Lebanon, China And Slovakia
The Beirut River in Lebanon mysteriously turned blood red Wednesday 4th December, after a stream of unidentified red liquid began pouring from the southern bank of the river in Furn al-Shubbak.
The source of the liquid had yet to be determined Wednesday evening, as the river continued to empty the red-colored water into the Mediterranean Sea.
Government and local officials rushed to the scene at the Chevrolet crossing of Furn al-Shubbak Wednesday morning in an attempt to locate the sewage canal that was dumping the red-colored water but they were unable to locate the source.
Accusations were traded among officials from the municipalities of Hadath, Hazmieh, Sin al-Fil, Furn al-Shubbak and Shiyah.
Eyewitnesses working in the area told The Daily Star this was not the first time the river had turned a different color. Several business owners around the Chevrolet crossing said that colored water pours into the river roughly every two months but no one pays attention to it.It was the quantity and brightness of the red liquid that grabbed the attention of many passersby and commuters on different bridges in the city Wednesday.

SAD : Missing Plane Found, All 33 Passengers Dead After Crash
A Mozambique Airlines plane carrying 27 passengers and 6 crew members which was reported missing, has been discovered to have crashed in Namibia yesterday November 30th, killing all on board, local media reports.
The Brazilian-made Embraer 190 aircraft left Maputo and was heading to Luanda when it crashed in a remote border area near a Namibian national park, Mozambique authorities said.
The plane was carrying 10 Mozambicans, 9 Angolans, 5 Portuguese, and one citizen each from France, Brazil and China, plus six crew members, including two pilots, three flight attendants and a maintenance technician, the airline said today.
Investigators are trying to ascertain the cause of the crash.

A Michigan man, Alan Markovitz, has erected a giant bronze sculpture of a hand with its middle finger raised in the direction of his neighbour house, who happens to be his ex-wife.
Alan Markovitz, 59, a Detroit strip-club entrepreneur, erected the 12-foot-high, spot-lit sculpture in the backyard of his lakefront Orchard Lake home.

Mother Sets Her Son Ablaze For Failing To Respect Her
A Chinese infant(Pictured above) is fighting for his life after his mother forced him to drink petrol and then set him ablaze.
The four-year-old was abused then torched in a grotesque plot by his biological mother to get revenge on her husband who she felt was not treating her with the enough respect.
Neighbours said that the woman and her husband were frequently arguing about money.
The woman, 40-year-old Shen Dan, and the man, 48-year-old Zhang Qiusheng, were both divorced and had then married each other.
Before their marriage, Zhang lived with her daughter, Zhang Mengting, who is a college student now.
After they were married Zhang and Shen had their own son, a boy called Duoduo.
But the two were always rowing about money. At the start of this month the woman – after a particularly heated argument – had left the apartment to return with a can of petrol.
She had then tried to force her son to drink it but had only been partially successful as the boy had tried to fight once the first sip had gone into his mouth.
As his father tried to intervene, she dragged the boy towards a flaming gas cooker, spilling petrol over all three of them – and they then all caught fire.
Despite the burns, the father rushed with the boy into the living room where he wrapped his head in a blanket to extinguish the flames. The boy is now in intensive care(pictured below).
Doctors say the boy has 35 per cent burns mainly over his head, but also that his lungs had been badly damaged from the petrol and the flames.
Even if he survives they say he will almost certainly not be able to speak and will most likely be blind.
The woman and her husband were also hospitalised with 15 per cent burns over their body.
The woman faces criminal charges once the police investigation is complete – but for Zhang his world has ended.
He said: ‘I just can’t understand it, she had disputes with me about money and she was so furious and angry that she felt the need to lash out by injuring that which was most important to me – my darling son. He’s her son too, I just don’t understand it.
‘I hope I never have to see her again – I will certainly be getting a divorce soon as I can get out of here and find a lawyer.’
Pastor Commits S*icide After Shocking Confession
A Reverend from Macon, Georgia, Teddy Parker, has taken his own life, days after telling his congregation that God was not hearing him and no longer felt a connection to God.
"I try to pray but I don’t feel like God is hearing me,” Parker said to his congregation “I try to serve but I don’t feel like God is using me.

11-Year-Old Shuts School Down, Brings Gun And 400 Ammunitions
A Washington state middle school boy was arrested yesterday and faces an attempted murder charge, after he brought 400 rounds of ammunitions, multiple knives and a handgun to his school, police said.
The 11-year-old was booked into a juvenile detention facility after the incident that caused the lockdown of Frontier Middle School, Vancouver Police said.
The school, in Vancouver, Washington, was locked down for about two hours. Parents received letters alerting them of the situation, said Kris Fay, a spokeswoman for the Evergreen School District.
There were no injuries. Police did not say who was allegedly being targeted.

Pregnant Women Jailed For Having A Miscarriage
The small nation of El Salvador has one of the toughest anti-ab*rtion laws in the world.
A side-effect is that women who suffer miscarriages are sometimes suspected of inducing an ab-rtion - and can even be jailed for m*rder.
EL Salvador received plenty of international attention this summer for its strict ban on ab-rtion, which led the government to deny an ab-rtion to a woman who was near d---th and whose pregnancy had no chance in resulting in a live baby.
The government eventually allowed her to end her pregnancy, as long as it was performed in the maximally dangerous way through cesarean section, but that doesn’t mean that things are getting any better for women in El Salvador.
According to BBC reporter Nina Lakhani, 19-year-old Glenda Xiomara Cruz showed up at the public hospital near her home, “crippled by abdominal pain and heavy bleeding” in October 2012. “It was the first she knew about the pregnancy as her menstrual cycle was unbroken, her weight practically unchanged, and a pregnancy test in May 2012 had been negative,” Lakhani writes.
“Four days later she was charged with aggravated murder intentionally m*rdering the 38-to-42 week foetus, a court hearing she was too sick to attend. The hospital had reported her to the police for a suspected ab*rtion.” Cruz was eventually moved to a women’s prison in San Salvador. Then, writes Lakhani, “last month she was sentenced to 10 years in jail, the judge ruling that she should have saved the baby’s life.”
So a woman shows up at the hospital seeking treatment for miscarriage and the hospital staff decides that she is faking and actually got an ab*rtion. Cruz’s defense attorney, Dennis Munoz Estanley, has taken up the cause, representing 29 of the 49 women convicted of m*rder or abortion in 2011. Of his clients, he says, only one actually procured an abortion. The other 28 were women he claims had miscarriages and are rail roaded by a criminal justice system that needs women to make examples of to prove it’s tough on ab*rtion.

Nigerian Students Get Deported From Canada After Year in Hiding
Girls, Victoria Ordu and Favour Amadi took refuge in a church after learning they would be forced to leave the country.
The University of Regina students have been in hiding for more than a year, getting by with the help of friends.
The pair says their trouble stems from a few weeks in 2011 when they worked at a Regina Wal-Mart, not knowing it was not permitted under the terms of their student visas.
The university said it supported the two. The case drew the attention of Liberal MP Ralph Goodale, who said the women should be allowed to stay.
On Friday, CBC News learned the students have been escorted out of Saskatchewan.
They're being flown to Toronto and are scheduled to be put on a plane to Nigeria.
Immigration officials were not immediately available for comment.

Another Plane Crash, Kills 49
According to officials, the Lao Airlines plane conveying 49 people (with both French and Thai Citizens) from Vientiane to Pakse town crashed few hours ago killing everyone on board.
At least 7 French, 1 Canadian citizen and 5 Thai Citizens were among those who died after the plane went down 8 km from an airport in Champasak Province in southern Laos.
French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius said he had learned of the deaths with “deep shock and great sadness” and that France was rushing embassy officials to the site of the crash.
Pakse is a hub for tourists travelling to more remote areas in southern Laos.
“I can now confirm, according to our reports, that all 49 people on board have died, including five Thai,” Thailand foreign ministry spokesman Sek Wannamethee told AFP.
Pictures on Thai television showed a small plane, half submerged in the river, with what appeared to be bodies lying on the banks.
An official at the South Korean embassy in Bangkok told Yonhap news agency that three South Koreans were also among the dead.

'Young Virgins Auctioned Off To Foreigners'
The city that the late Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar made his name in the 1980s has gone through a major public image overhaul in the past decade.
Murders, drug trafficking and kidnappings have plummeted in Medellín as upscale shopping malls, a new transit system and tourism have flourished in the “city of the eternal spring.”
While the city has enjoyed a renaissance of late, some of the nasty vestiges of the bad, old days still remain.
Up on the city’s sprawling hillside slums, street gangs that sprung up in the wake of Escobar’s death are luring young girls, most between 10 and 15, into a vicious business where their virginity is auctioned off to the highest bidder – mostly drug barons and foreign sex tourists.
“They start drawing them in with perks from a culture of high consumerism,” Luís Pardo, Director of NGO Corporacion Consultoria de Conflicto Urabano said.
“They offer them brand-name clothes, trips to luxury restaurants, top of the range whisky and cocaine, and the girls end up as part of this network.”
A number of non-governmental organizations have reported a spike in these types or arrangements in Medellín as well as an increase in rapes in the city.
The young girls are generally helpless once they decide to work with the gangs and the families of the children are caught a classic bind of organized crime.
They can either go along with the gangs' orders and possibly receive financial backing, or refuse and become one of the more than 10,000 people displaced within the city each year.
This type of sexual extortion rarely goes reported to local law enforcement and, even in those rare cases, very little can actually be done as the slums, or "comunas," are generally controlled by those same gangs.
“People are scared to report it, even talk about it because of the fear of these armed actors,” one youth worker in the city’s violence-torn Comuna 13 district said. “Silence has become an accomplice.”
Medellín’s improving reputation has also allowed this trade to flourish as has the city’s reputation for beautiful women and prostitution, which is legal if the women are 18 or over and no intermediaries are involved.
“This has become part of the landscape, part of the cruel reality of the other Medellin – the one that is not visible, the one that does not appear in the media, that does not involve grand construction projects and fancy restaurants,” said Pardo.
“In the comunas it is lack of opportunity and poverty that reigns.”

WICKED: HIV Infected Woman Intentionally Infect Neighbour's Baby
A Zimbabwean woman who breastfed her neighbour's baby without her consent faces a possible two-year sentence for deliberately infecting another person with HIV after she tested positive.
39-year-old Annie Mpariwa appeared in court on Wednesday, the case was moved to October 24 to allow a second HIV test to be performed on the toddler. The child initial results were negative.
Mpariwa was arrested last week on charges of common nuisance and should the child test positive; the charge will be raised to deliberately infecting another person with HIV
The mother of the 14-month-old baby said seeing her child being breastfed by her neighbour was traumatising.
She alleged that her neighbour snatched the child while she was playing outside and hid her in her room.
After searching for the child for quite some time, she went and knocked on Mpariwa rented room and got no response.
Upon peeping through the window, she saw her breastfeeding the little girl.
I was shocked. I nearly fainted,” she said, adding that her breasts were leaking milk yet she was not a nursing mother or pregnant.
The incident comes in the wake of a newly enacted law on HIV and Aids that calls for stiffer penalties on people who deliberately infect others with HIV.

Over $270 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found On Flight
It was strange how 30 suitcases that showed up on a flight from Venezuela, weren't registered to any of the passengers on board, raising suspicion of the authourities.
When French officials finally opened them up, they discovered 1.3 tons of pure cocaine were stuffed inside the anonymous bags.
The street value of the stash? About 200 million Euros, or $270 million.
The catch was made on September 11, but French authorities didn't publicise the find until Saturday.
The suitcases came from Caracas aboard an Air France flight to Paris, but did not match any of the passengers on board, CNN affiliate BFMTV reported.
"Several" people have been taken in custody, French Interior Minister Manuel Valls told reporters Saturday.
Authorities worked with Spanish, British and Dutch police on the investigation, BFMTV said.
This case "illustrates the importance of strengthening international cooperation in the fight against traffickers," Valls said.
Venezuelan authorities are also investigating. The country's Public Ministry said prosecutors will investigate, along with the Counterdrug Command of the National Guard in Simon Bolivar International Airport, to see if any criminal activity took place.

8-months-old pregnant woman doing the unimaginable
I was shocked when i saw this video and the images of a pregnant woman doing this; what if something terrible happens, like; the head or legs of the baby just pop out while lifting this heavyweight, she was 8 months pregnant and only two weeks to her delivery when she took this video!
Woman, Lea-Anne Ellison, 35, sparked an online firestorm after pictures of the 8 1/2-month pregnant mom lifting weights were posted on Facebook.
“8 months pregnant with baby number 3 and CrossFit has been my sanity,” Ellison wrote in the caption. “I have been CrossFitting for 2 1/2 years and...strongly believe that
pregnancy is not an illness, but a time to relish in your body’s capabilities to kick Bottom.”
But a slew of commenters posted angry greivances on the picture — which boasted more than 16,000 likes and almost 3,000 shares by Friday morning.
“If anything happens to your baby due to your stupidity, I hope you’ll be able to handle your guilt,” another person wrote. “Pregnancy is NOT the time to be taking silly risks.”
“This is actually sickening, I hope pregnant around the world do not do this kind of crap,” one woman wrote. “I am a crossfit enthusiast but I DO NOT recommend this at all.”

Breaking News: Armed Men storms shopping mall, kill over 20, dozens injured
Gunmen, today, stormed a shopping mall in Nairobi, Kenya killing over 22 people, in what is believed to be a terrorist attack.
An eyewitness claimed the men told Muslims to stand up and leave the mall and that only non-Muslims would be targeted.
By the time they finished shooting indiscriminately, at least 22 were dead and over 50 people injured on the floor.
One survivor said and that the attackers started from the Westage mall ground floor and made their way to the top. He said they had grenades and AK-47 rifles and he saw at least five of them.
Local TV stations reported that the gunmen took hostages as soldiers and local policemen surrounded the mall. Another survivor said he was shot at by a man who looked like a Somali.
The Somali militant group al Shabaab had previously threatened to attack hotels, nightclubs and the Westgate mall, which is one of the biggest malls in the city, popular with the city's expatriate and foreigners...but there's no official confirmation for now that the group is behind this attack.
Security guards were seen wheeling out bloodstained bodies in shopping trolleys as soldiers continue to comb the mall looking for the gunmen.
Kenyan Red Cross said at least 20 have been killed and more casualties were still inside the complex.See photos below.....
Is Kissing In Public Appropriate Or Not?
A Company operating public transport in Vienna, Austria's capital city, released an information film that shows passengers behaving inappropriately -- and, among others, a couple "kissing untamed" is included in the video.
It has been agreed in many countries that eating food with a strong smell, talking too loudly or putting your feet on the seats is unacceptable on buses and trains.
Now, according to Wiener Linien, a public transport company in Vienna, Austria, openly displaying affection while travelling could be considered equally inconsiderate.
The information film released by the company shows someone picking their nose, an unattended dog drooling and a kissing couple.
Etiquette and protocol consultants agree that an innocent kiss on the cheek is fine in public. However, a "serious" kiss on the lips, especially with the tongue, is a very intimate act and should not be dispayed publicly. Moreover, when random passers-by witness a kiss, it devalues this sign of affection.
Vienna company's spokesperson says kissing was neither banned on the network nor subject to fines. But the customers were asked to "behave considerately".
While some consider this a welcome development, others may be saddened.
Railway stations are often seen as romantic places where people meet ad greet each other, or see each other off.
What is more, public display of affection can be an act of liberation for some people. For instance, in May 2010, around a hundred people protested in Ankara, Turkey, against the subway authorities' admonishment of a couple who locked lips in public.
Although some time ago, kissing was seen as a thing peculiar to the Western countries, it seems that younger generation of other countries, such as India, is becoming more liberal.
Of course, it is not too poetic when you are actually witnessing a couple wildly embracing in front of you in, real life.

Hospital Needs Blood From 100 Female Virgins
A Chinese research hospital has caused outrage when they requested for female virgin blood.
According to report, Peking University Cancer Hospital in China put out a request for ages 18 to 24.
"Male virgins are not needed, only females, how is this science?" posted one highly-cited user of a Chinese social media service similar to Twitter.
The Hospital spokeswoman Guan Jiuping insisted that there is nothing sinister in their need for the blood. She claimed that researchers were doing studies on the human papilloma virus (HPV), which is usually transmitted through sexual contact.
Guan says:
"It's in line with international practice to collect female virgins' blood samples, which serve as negative control substances in HPV research, given that the risk of contracting HPV is low among women who have never had sex. Too much attention to sensitive words like 'virgin' and 'sex' is not necessary in this context. "
Researchers said virgin blood is helpful because risk for the virus is low among women who have not had sex.
So far, 50 self-proclaimed virgins have donated their blood to science, it was reported. However, the number of actual virgins may be smaller, because the hospital is taking all the donors at their word.
