No comments :

There are so many mystery we still don't have answers to. While some people believe in reincarnation, others don't but after seeing the similarities between Arsenal player Mesut Ozil and Founder of Ferrari, Enzo Ferrari, many believed there is more to this than just mere coincidence. Apart from their apparent similar looks, the year Ferrari died was the year Mesut Ozil was given birth to. Who thinks this is just a coincidence. Many believe Enzo Ferrari reincarnated as Mesut Ozil.
The resemblance is scary!

DEVILISH!!!: Brazilian Doctor Killed 300 Patients To Free Up Hospital Beds

No comments :

A Brazilian doctor appeared in court for allegedly killing seven patients to free up hospital beds in the southeast city of Curitiba.

Virginia Helena Soares de Souza recruited a group of doctors to help administer lethal doses of anesthetics, sedatives and painkillers, according to authorities.

In addition, the group allegedly altered oxygen levels for patients, leading to deaths by asphyxiation, police said.

Virginia Soares de Souza is being investigated by the Brazilian health authorities on suspicion of intentionally killing close to 300 patients to free up hospital beds at the Hospital Evangelico in Curitiba, south Brazil.

The Daily Mail reports Doctor de Souza was first arrested last month after several patients in her care died in suspicious circumstances. The patients reportedly died prematurely at the Hospital Evangelico in Curitiba, south Brazil.

According to UK's Mirror, the doctor is accused of having administered "fatal doses of a muscle relaxant or cutting off patients' life support" in the seven separate cases. She drastically cut the level of oxygen the patients were receiving at the hospital's intensive care ward below the minimum required for their survival.

According to the Daily Mail, she is accused of having reduced the oxygen that one of her patients, Ivo Spitzer, was receiving from 45 percent to 21 percent which was not sufficient for his survival. The patient also received a muscle relaxant Pavulon an hour before he died.

After she was held on suspicion of death of seven patients, an inquiry by Brazil's Health Ministry uncovered 20 other suspicious cases and now about 300 other cases are being investigated after a consistent pattern was detected.

According to The Huffington Post, Dr. Mario Lobato, who is heading the investigation, told Brazil's Fantastico TV that de Souza "played God" by deciding which person should die to free up hospital bed space.

The Daily Mail reports Lobato said: "There are 20 cases which have already been closed, and we have nearly 300 cases still open which we are looking at. In each case, the testimony of people who worked inside the hospital confirmed what we have found on the patient records."

According to Lobato, in the case of the patient Ivo Spitzer, the reduction of oxygen and the drug pavulon caused death. Investigators noticed the same pattern in several other deaths, the Daily Mail writes.

Lobato said: "All of them have the same modus operando, the same relationship between the drug and death, and the same time between both." Lobato said that some of the patients died prematurely with many being conscious and talking moments before they died.

He said: "One was awake, being nebulised but not even connected to a respirator. This patient had asked his family to bring his glasses so he could do some reading while he was in the intensive care ward. Another patient had just asked a nurse for a cup of water. This nurse testified that one of the things she will never forget is that she didn't manage to give him the cup of water because by the time she returned he had already died."

The Huffingotn Post reports that De Souza's lawyer Elias Mattar Assad said his client was innocent. Assad said: "Soon we will be able to prove that what happened in that ward can be justified in medical writings," according to the Daily Mail. Three other doctors and a nurse have been arrested on suspicion of collaborating with de Souza.

The Mirror notes that if the allegations against De Souza turn out to be true then she would take over the distinction of the "deadliest serial killer in history" from a British doctor Harold Shipman who reportedly killed between 215 and 260 people before he was convicted in 2000. Shipman reportedly hanged himself in prison in 2004.

The Daily Mail reports Shipman hanged himself in prison at the age of 57, after having murdered at least 215 patients aged between 47 and 93 over 25 years.

Grieving German daughter slept with mother’s corpse for eight months: police

No comments :
A grieving daughter unable to foot the cost of her mom's burial slept next to her corpse for eight months, according to reports. The gruesome living arrangement came to light on Thursday when bailiffs were sent to the apartment in Munich, Germany, to recover the now dead 70-year-old pensioner's debts.

After being asked to see her mother, the unnamed 39-year-old told an appraiser that she had died in July 2012. And she showed him the decomposing body that was lying on a sofa bed in the Moosach district home's only bedroom to prove it.

The Local reports the daughter, who was living on unemployment benefits, did not know she could apply for $4,100 in state help to cover the funeral costs. Cops said she's been sectioned at a psychiatric facility by her own request.

Officers are now looking into whether the daughter was fraudulently claiming her mom's pension during the period. But they say they don't believe that's the reason why she harboured her lifeless body for so long, so it is unlikely she will be prosecuted.

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of infanticide after two tiny corpses were found in a freezer at her home in eastern France, police said on Tuesday. The woman has been in custody since Sunday, when her partner called officers to the house after discovering one of the corpses.

“In the state they were discovered it is very difficult to establish the age of the corpses and whether they were newborn or still-born,” the prosecutor in charge of the investigation, Denis Mondon, told AFP.

Local newspaper Le Progres reported that the woman, a waitress, had been convicted in 2005 of killing a newborn she had given birth to in 2002 after a pregnancy she had hidden from friends and family. In that case, the woman’s mother was convicted of helping her daughter to dispose of the body, according to Le Progres. Sources say the woman will appear in court soon. [AFP]

Mystery: Cat Travels 200 Miles Over Two Months To Return To Owners

No comments :

A cat travelled 200 miles to get back to his home town, claim his owners.Holly, a house cat who rarely ventured outside prior to her journey, had jumped out of her owners’ mobile home while on a trip to Daytona Beach.
Jacob and Bonnie Richter were stunned when Holly turned up in the back garden of Barb Mazzola and her children two months later, The Daily Telegraph reports. Mazzola lives just one mile away from the Richters.
Holly was returned to her owners when Mazzola took the cat to a vet and discovered an identification microchip.
Marc Bekoff, a University of Colorado professor who specialises in animal behaviour, said that Holly’s survival was a “complete mystery”, adding: “She may have had some basic sense of direction and then got clues from sights or sounds as she got closer, but the truth is that we have no idea how she got home.”
Jacob Richter, 70, said: “Evidently, she had some sort of inner sense or magic that kept her on track. I have no idea how many of her nine lives she must have used up because there are a lot of crossroads and lot of traffic, not to mention all the other threats from nature and other animals.”
63-year-old Bonnie Richter said that she hopes some good will come out of Holly’s story, saying: “If there is one message I hope comes out of this, it is that other owners get their animals back after having them microchipped because they heard about Holly.”

Lottery Winner Poisoned With Cyanide One Day After Winning 1 Million Dollars

No comments :

One day, Urooj Khan jumped for joy after scoring a $1 million winner on an Illinois lottery scratch ticket. The next month, he was dead. The lottery winner ‘woke up screaming from fatal cyanide poisoning ONE DAY after receiving a check for his $1million ticket.
Investigators initially ruled Khan’s manner of death natural. But after being prompted by a relative, the medical examiner’s office in Cook County, Illinois, revisited the case and eventually determined there was a lethal amount of cyanide in Khan’s system. “That  led us to issue an amended death certificate that (established) cyanide toxicity as the cause of death, and the manner of death as homicide,” Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Steve Cina said Monday. Why did Khan, an Indian immigrant who was described as a well-liked, hardworking and successful businessman, die? And who is responsible? Finding that out is now up to the Chicago police.
No arrests have been made. “We are investigating it as a murder, and we’re working closely with the medical examiner’s office,” Chicago police spokeswoman Melissa Stratton said Monday. On June 26, Khan was all smiles at a 7-Eleven in the Rogers Park section of Chicago. Surrounded by his wife, daughter and friends, he held an oversized $1 million check and recalled his joy upon playing the “$3 million Cash Jackpot!” game, where tickets sell for $30 apiece. “I scratched the ticket, then I kept saying, ‘I hit a million!’ over and over again,” the 46-year-old Khan said, according to a press release from the Illinois Lottery.
“I jumped two feet in the air, then ran back into the store and tipped the clerk $100.” The plan, he explained, was to use the money for his mortgage, paying off bills, a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and investing more in his dry cleaning businesses. “Winning the lottery means everything to me,” Khan said. He would have to wait a few weeks to collect his actual winnings, which amounted after taxes to about $425,000.
According to CNN affiliate WGN, that check was issued July 19, but Khan never got to spend it. The next night, Khan came home, ate dinner and went to bed, according to an internal police department document obtained by the Chicago Tribune. His family later heard him screaming and took him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the paper reported, citing the document. That’s where the Cook County medical examiner’s office came in, investigating Khan’s death because it was “sudden and unexpected,” Cina said. At the time, there were no allegations of foul play or evidence of trauma. So, following the office’s policy, Khan’s body underwent what Cina described as an “external examination (and) basic toxicology testing,” neither of which turned up anything abnormal.
So the medical examiner ruled that Khan had died of arterial scler*tic cardiovascular disease — which encompasses incidents like heart attacks, strokes and aortic ruptures — and that his manner of death was natural, according to Cina. A few days later, a family member approached the doctor who had examined the body “and said they felt uncomfortable that it was being ruled a natural and they suggested that we look into it further,” the chief medical examiner said. “So we did that,” he added. “Forensics is not a static field. If new evidence comes to light, we’ll revisit cases.”
That meant more in-depth toxicology tests. In early September, new screening results came back indicating cyanide in Khan’s blood. With that, the official manner of death was changed from natural to pending, Cina said, and Chicago police got involved. In late November, a more detailed blood analysis came back showing “a lethal level of cyanide,” and Khan’s death became a murder case. Chicago police haven’t offered details, including a possible motive, about what they call an “ongoing investigation.”
Talking briefly with CNN affiliate WBBM and the Tribune, Khan’s widow described her husband as kind and exemplary. Jimmy Goreel, who runs the 7-Eleven where the winning lottery ticket was sold, offered similarly glowing comments about Khan. “I would never think that anybody … would hurt him,” Goreel told WGN. “(He was a) nice person, very hopeful and gentle (and) very hardworking.”

Mom Finds Seven Deadly Snake In 3 Year Old Son’s Wardrobe

No comments :
Kyle Cumming had found the snake eggs in his garden in Townsville in Queensland, Australia and was given a takeaway container to put them in.
Several weeks later his mother Donna Sim was shocked when she opened the bedroom wardrobe to discover the box full of recently hatched eastern brown snakes – the world’s second deadliest species.
Wildlife carers said Kyle was very fortunate as his mother discovered the eastern brown snake babies before he took them out to play or before the hatchlings had grown strong enough to push open the lid by themselves.
Ms Sim said she had given Kyle the takeaway container when he found the eggs but had not thought more of it until she found the snakes in her son’s bedroom.
‘I was pretty shocked, particularly because I don’t like snakes,’ she said.
The family took the snakes to a local sanctuary where they were released back into the wild.
The eastern brown snake is widely considered the second most venomous snake in the world, behind the inland taipan.
They are common in Australia and are responsible for a majority of lethal snake bites recorded in the country.

Ghost Of Grandfather Appears At Granddaughter Christening Ceremony (PHOTOS)

A grandmother was left astonished after a photo posted on Facebook from her granddaughter’s christening appeared to show the ghost of her late husband.

When Heather Sewell, 50, first saw the picture she immediately spotted the apparition, bearing a striking resemblance to her late husband Terry.
The black and white face can be seen above the church font hovering over baby Mia-Bella Kennett and the rest of the family.
The bizarre image was caught on camera at St Martin’s Church, Canterbury, Kent by Mrs Sewell’s son Jamie, 29, on his mobile phone.
It was only when the grandmother-of-two was looking through the photos online later that she spotted the familiar face beside the family.

Unidentified Man Falls From Sky

No comments :
Police believe he was from Africa, probably from Angola, but they don’t know his identity.

The mystery began in September when residents of a suburban street in the Mortlake neighborhood of West London woke up on a quiet Sunday morning to find the crumpled body of a black man on the sidewalk of Portman Avenue, near a convenience store, an upscale lingerie shop and a storefront offering Chinese medical cures.
Detectives believed at first the man was a murder victim and cordoned off the area. Within a day, however, police concluded the man – probably already dead – had fallen to the ground when a jet passing overhead lowered its landing gear as it neared the runway at nearby Heathrow Airport.
The apparent stowaway had no identification papers – just some currency from Angola, leading police to surmise that he was from that African nation, especially as inquiries showed that a plane from Angola was beginning its descent into Heathrow at about that time.
The macabre explanation made perfect sense to residents, who are familiar not only with the roar of the jets descending, but are also able to see the planes lower their landing gears as they pass overhead, said Catherine Lambert, who lives a few doors down from the spot where the man landed.
“You could see him, his body was contorted,” she said. “It was a beautiful blue day, really sunny, but we had to keep the children inside. I didn’t want the children to see, and to have to explain to them and put fear into them every time a plane goes over.”
A post mortem conducted two days after the body landed listed the cause of death as “multiple injuries.”
In the days afterward, some neighbors put flowers on the spot where the stowaway was found, and a small group of Angolans who live in the London area came to place more flowers and to pray. Lambert, 41, said there is lingering sadness, since the man has not been identified and there has been no way to tell his family he is gone.
“I felt, what was he running away from? What made him think he could he could? And how will his family ever know? He’s a lost soul now; his father and mother are probably waiting for him to make contact,” she said.
A London police spokesman, who wasn’t authorized to speak on the record because of force policy, said Sunday that police are appealing to the public for help identifying the man based on a composite image of his face and a photo of a tattoo on his left arm. The tattoo showed the letters “Z” and “G” inked on his upper arm, with a horizontal line through the “Z”.
Police also said attempts to identify the man with the help of Angolan authorities had been unsuccessful. They stressed there is only “circumstantial” evidence linking the stowaway to that country.
In a statement, police said the man is believed to be an African of slight build between the ages of 20 and 30. He was wearing jeans, white sneakers and a gray sweatshirt when he was found on Sept. 9, police said.
Although firm figures are not available, in recent years there has been a rise in the number of stowaways trying to get to Western Europe by hiding in the undercarriages of passenger planes.

African Magic:Chaos As Money Changes Into A Bird, Then Starts Talking

No comments :
There was pandemonium at Mbare Musika Rank on Wednesday amid claims that a stash of US$350 that transformed into a small bird which then started talking.

A huge crowd gathered and it needed police intervention as the mob wanted to beat up the Dzivarasekwa-based cross border trader identified as Immaculate Chirunga (33).
She had to escape in a kombi which took her to Mbare Police Station for protection. Witnesses who spoke to our news crew confirmed that indeed the money changed into a bird which later spoke.
The money was meant to pay for the services provided by a Chipinge-based sangoma as per their contractual agreement. Immaculate confirmed that indeed the bird ‘talked’ and she was not moved because she was aware of the powers of the sangoma whom she has consulted.
“I was not scared or moved when the money changed into a bird. I know Sekuru Mudapaviri Ndoro’s extra-ordinary powers,” said Immaculate.
The woman revealed that she consulted Sekuru Mudapaviri Ndoro after she lost her goods to a kombi crew on her way from South Africa two weeks ago. Immaculate claims that she was given some juju and the robbers returned her stuff at her parents’ Chadcombe house. However, her joy short-lived.
She delayed paying Sekuru Ndoro his charge of US$50 for the juju, which was meant to work for three weeks and ‘unfortunately’ the grace period expired on Wednesday.
Immaculate claims that when she put her money on the bed it turned into a bird which instructed her to travel to Birchenough Bridge.
Said Immaculate: “I had US$350 yesterday and the money suddenly changed into this bird and I was not afraid since I knew what I did and I also knew Sekuru Ndoro’s powers. The bird told me that I should take it to Birchenough Bridge.
She said when she arrived at Mbare Musika, her brother phoned her questioning her why she had used juju to recover her stuff and that is when Sekuru Ndoro, speaking through the bird, intervened.
Immaculate was then mobbed by Mbare traders who wanted an explanation on how a bird which is not a parrot could talk, for a parrot is believed to have the ability to mimic human speech.
“I went to Cape Town two weeks ago along with my two colleagues since I am a cross border trader and we were robbed by the kombi crew. The kombi stopped in the middle of the bush and the crew took all our valuables and my friends resisted prompting a thorough bashing from the robbers.
I was lucky since I surrendered all my belongings and they gave me R300 for complying with their orders before they went away,” she said.
The woman revealed that the robbers confessed and when she phoned Sekuru she was advised to charge them US$500 and six cows for the offence.
“Sekuru told me to open my bags and surprisingly they were beaten thoroughly by invisible things. Sekuru told me to get US$500 plus six cows for the payment from the robbers. He advised me that I should give him US$350 for his job before my return to South Africa,” she narrated.
Immaculate is a single mother of three and her husband died after killing his brother-in-law. She claims that in her previous transactions with Sekuru Ndoro, she sent her payment via an unnamed driver.
“He told me to tie the money and put it in a flowing river. I did that and he later called me confirming that he had received the money”
